Privacy Policy

If you join the waitlist we store your email address, which plan you were looking at if you came from the pricing section, which form on the page you used, and when you joined. Nothing else — no name, no phone number, no tracking profile.

We use it for one purpose: to tell you about Czar's launch and its progress toward it. We don't sell it, share it for anyone else's marketing, or add you to lists for other products.

It's stored with our database provider, which holds it on our behalf. We keep it until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it. Every email we send includes a way to unsubscribe, and you can ask us to delete your address at any time by writing to help@czarcrm.com.

This website doesn't use advertising cookies or tracking pixels, and it doesn't build a profile of you. Our hosting provider keeps standard server logs (IP address, browser, the page requested and when) to deliver the site and protect it from abuse. If we measure visits, we use cookieless analytics that count pages in aggregate and don't identify you.

After you join the waitlist, your browser remembers that you did, using a small flag stored on your device rather than a cookie, so the page doesn't ask you again. Clearing your browser data removes it.

Because we don't track visitors across other sites, the site works the same whether or not your browser sends a Do Not Track signal.

Account information you give us when you sign up: your business name, email address, and a password, which we store only in hashed form. Later, if you add them, your business address, contact phone number and service area, which appear on your business's public page.

Payment details go directly to our payment processor. We never see or store your full card number.

Business records you enter into Czar: customer names and contact details, vehicles, services, prices, notes, and job history. You control this data, and you are responsible for having the right to store it.

Requests your customers send from your business's public page (their name, number, vehicle and what they're asking for), which go to you.

Text consent records: when one of your customers agrees to texts or opts out, we keep a record of when and how, the exact wording they were shown, and, if they agreed on a web form, the IP address it was sent from. Carriers can require this as proof of consent.

Usage and device information collected automatically when you use the service: browser type, pages visited, approximate location derived from your IP address, and error logs. We use this to keep the service running and to fix problems.

To provide the service: storing your records, showing your schedule, and sending the reminders and messages you ask it to send.

To support you: answering questions, troubleshooting, and telling you about changes to the service.

To improve the product: understanding which parts are used and where people get stuck. We do this in aggregate.

We do not sell your data or your customers' data, and we do not use your customers' contact details for our own marketing.

Service providers that help us run Czar: hosting, databases, email and message delivery, payment processing, and error monitoring. They process data only to provide those services to us.

Authorities, when the law requires it, or when necessary to protect the rights and safety of you, your customers, or Czar.

A successor, if Czar is acquired or merged. Your data would remain subject to this policy.

Detailing businesses use Czar to text their own customers about appointments and services — confirmations, reminders, on-the-way notices, job updates and review requests — and, only for customers who separately agree to them, occasional offers and reminders when a vehicle is due for service. Those texts go only to people who gave that business their number and agreed to receive them. Each one names the business sending it, and Czar sends them only at that business's request. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to any message to opt out of that business's texts, or HELP for help.

No mobile information will be shared with third parties/affiliates for marketing/promotional purposes. All the above categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.

We never sell or rent mobile numbers or consent to receive texts, and consent given to one business is never transferred to or used by another.

Czar doesn't send its own texts to account holders today. If that changes, we'll ask for consent separately and describe those messages here and in our SMS Terms.

You can export your customer list and history at any time, and you can delete your account and its data from your settings, or ask us to. Some records may be kept as required by law or for legitimate business purposes such as billing history.

We keep data for as long as your account is active. After an account is closed, we delete or anonymize it within a reasonable period, except where retention is required.

If you're a customer of a business that uses Czar, that business controls your information. Ask them, or write to us and we'll pass your request on. We answer privacy requests within 30 days.

We use industry-standard measures to protect data in transit and at rest, and we restrict access to people who need it to do their jobs. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee that unauthorized access will never occur.

Czar is a business tool and is not intended for anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
