Texting Registration (A2P 10DLC), Handled
If you want your CRM to text customers for you (reminders, review requests, rebook nudges), US carriers first make your business register. Here's what that means in plain English, and what Czar does so you don't have to.
What A2P 10DLC is
A2P means application-to-person: a text sent by software, not typed by someone on their phone. 10DLC means a regular 10-digit phone number. Together, A2P 10DLC is the system US carriers use for businesses that send automatic texts from a normal-looking number.
Texts you send yourself from your own phone aren't A2P. That's why Czar Core, where you send texts from your own phone, needs no registration.
Why carriers require it
Carriers want to know who is sending and what they're sending before it reaches their customers' phones. It's how they keep spam down. Automatic texts from a number that isn't registered get blocked or filtered, so registration isn't optional.
What registration involves
Two parts. Your brand: who your business is, checked against your EIN records. Your campaign: what you'll text, sample messages, how customers agree to receive them, and the privacy policy and terms that back it up.
Carriers review both. Common reasons a registration gets rejected: the business name or address doesn't match IRS records exactly, there's no website showing how customers opt in, the privacy policy doesn't say mobile numbers won't be shared, or the sample messages don't match what's described. Each fix-and-resubmit round adds more waiting.
What Czar does for you
On Pro, we file your brand and campaign through our registered platform account, under your business's name, and we pay the registration fees.
You don't need a website. Czar hosts a page for your business with your contact details, the opt-in boxes, and your own privacy policy and SMS terms, written to what carriers check for.
The consent wording your customers see is the same wording published in our SMS Terms, so your registration and what your customers actually see match.
What you'll need
Your legal business name exactly as the IRS has it, your EIN, and your business address. You enter them once in a short form in the app. That's the whole job on your end.
While carriers review it
Carriers decide, usually within a couple of weeks. Nobody can promise approval or speed it up, including us. Until then, you keep texting customers from your own phone, which works on both plans. Once you're approved, Pro's automatic texts turn on.
Who the sender is
Your business is the registered sender. Every automatic text names your business, and customers agree to texts from you, not from Czar. Czar is the software that sends them. The details are in our SMS Terms and Privacy Policy.
Compared with GoHighLevel
On GoHighLevel, each business submits its own A2P registration through its Trust Center and pays a one-time $22.50 to $64.00 to register, depending on brand type, plus recurring monthly campaign fees (GoHighLevel's fee guide, checked October 2026). On Czar Pro, we file it and the registration fee is included.
When it's available
Registration is part of Pro, and Pro opens at launch. Czar isn't open yet: join the waitlist and we'll email you the day it opens.
