SMS Terms

Czar is software that detailing businesses use to text their own customers about their appointments and services. These terms cover those text messages. Czar is operated by ZAB Ventures LLC, an Ohio limited liability company.

What these messages are

Detailing businesses that use Czar send two kinds of text messages to their customers, and each needs its own consent. Appointment and service texts: confirmations and reminders, on-the-way notices, job updates, and a request for a review after the job. Offers and service-due reminders: occasional offers, and a reminder when your vehicle is due for its next service — sent only if you separately agreed to them.

Every message comes from, and names, the detailing business you gave your number to. Czar provides the software that sends it and doesn't send texts of its own.

How you opt in

You receive these messages only after you agree to them. When you request service on a business's Czar page, there are two separate boxes — one for appointment and service texts, one for offers — each optional and unchecked until you check it yourself. If you book in person, the business may instead ask you out loud, using the script below; a spoken yes covers appointment and service texts only. Agreeing to receive texts is never a condition of buying anything: you can book and pay without it.

Box 1 — appointment and service texts
Text me about my appointments and services from [Business Name]: confirmations, reminders, on-the-way notices, job updates and a review request after each job. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out at any time, or HELP for help. Consent is not a condition of purchase.
Box 2 — offers and service-due reminders
Also text me occasional offers and reminders when my next service is due from [Business Name]. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out at any time, or HELP for help. Consent is not a condition of purchase.
In person — appointment and service texts only
Is it OK if [Business Name] texts you about your appointment — confirmations, reminders, updates and a review request afterward? Message frequency varies and message and data rates may apply. You can reply STOP anytime to stop, or HELP for help.

[Business Name] is the name of the business asking. Agreeing in person covers appointment and service texts only; offers go only to customers who checked the offers box themselves. Each business's "SMS Terms" and "Privacy Policy" links go to that business's own pages, which name the business and identify Czar as its software provider.

How often

Message frequency varies. Usually it's a few messages around each appointment, plus — only if you agreed to offers — an occasional offer or a reminder when your next service is due.

Cost

Message and data rates may apply, depending on your mobile plan. Neither the business nor Czar charges you to receive these messages.

How to stop them

Reply STOP to any message to stop receiving texts from that business — all of them, offers included. STOPALL, UNSUBSCRIBE, CANCEL, END, QUIT, REVOKE and OPTOUT work too. You'll get one message confirming you've been unsubscribed, and no more after that. To get appointment and service texts again, reply START or tell the business. Offers restart only if you agree to them again.

Opting out of one business's texts doesn't affect texts from any other business.

Carriers

Mobile carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

Your number and your privacy

Your mobile number and your consent to receive texts are used only to send you the messages described here and to keep a record of your consent and any opt-out, which carriers can ask to see. No mobile information will be shared with third parties/affiliates for marketing/promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties, never sold, and never transferred from one business to another. The details are in our Privacy Policy.
