Terms of Service

Czar is a customer-management tool for detailing businesses. We provide the software; you run your business with it. We may add, change, or remove features as the product develops.

Before launch, this website is a preview of Czar and a waitlist. Joining the waitlist is free, doesn't create an account, and doesn't commit you to anything. Features and prices shown are what we plan to launch with and may change before then. The rest of these terms apply once you subscribe.

You must be at least 18 and able to enter into a contract. If you sign up for a business, you confirm you're authorized to accept these terms for it, and "you" means that business. Keep your sign-in details private — you are responsible for what happens under your account. Tell us promptly if you believe it has been compromised.

Use of Czar requires a paid subscription at the price shown on our website at the time you subscribe. Subscriptions renew automatically each month until you cancel. We'll give you at least 30 days' notice by email before a price change, which then applies from your next billing cycle.

New accounts are covered by a 30-day money-back guarantee. If Czar isn't right for your business, email help@czarcrm.com from your account's address within 30 days of your first payment and we will refund that payment in full. The guarantee covers the first payment on a new account.

There is no contract term. You can cancel at any time from your account, and your subscription ends at the close of the current billing period. Outside the 30-day guarantee we do not offer prorated refunds for partial periods unless the law requires it.

You own the business records you put into Czar. You grant us the limited rights needed to store, process, and display that data to run the service for you. You can export it at any time.

You are responsible for the data you enter, including having the right to store your customers' information and the consent needed to contact them.

Where Czar sends text messages to your customers on your behalf, you must get each recipient's consent before they're texted, using the disclosure described in our SMS Terms; honor opt-out requests; and follow applicable laws such as the TCPA and carrier rules. Consent must never be a condition of purchase. Messages sent through the service must not be deceptive, abusive, or unrelated to the recipient's relationship with your business.

Texts you send from your own phone, including ones Czar drafts for you, are your messages, and the same rules and laws apply to them.

The terms for the people who receive those texts — what the messages are, how often they come, what they cost, and how to stop them — are in our SMS Terms. Czar doesn't send its own texts to account holders today, and adding your mobile number to your account doesn't sign you up for any.

Do not use Czar to break the law, to harass anyone, to send spam, to store data you have no right to hold, or to probe, overload, or interfere with the service. We may suspend or close accounts that do.

We work to keep Czar available and responsive, but we do not promise uninterrupted service. Planned maintenance and unplanned outages happen. Support is provided through the app and at help@czarcrm.com.

Czar is provided "as is" and "as available." To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for lost revenue or profits. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose.

You agree to defend and indemnify ZAB Ventures LLC against claims, losses and costs, including reasonable legal fees, that arise from the messages you send or have sent through Czar, the data you put into it, or your breach of these terms or the law.

You can close your account at any time. We can suspend or close accounts that violate these terms, with notice where practical. Export anything you want to keep before you close your account. After an account closes, its data is deleted or anonymized as described in our Privacy Policy.

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Ohio, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute we can't resolve informally will be brought in the state or federal courts serving Mahoning County, Ohio, and we both consent to those courts.

We may update these terms. Meaningful changes will be posted here with a new date, and we'll email account holders before they take effect. Continued use after that date means you accept them.
